Ani Samsonyan nominated as deputy chairman of NA’s Human Rights and Public Affairs Standing Committee

Bright Armenia faction has nominated candidacy of Ani Samsonyan in the post of the deputy chairperson of NA’s Human Rights and Public Affairs Standing Committee. The NA standing committees are not finally formed yet and their staffs are still unknown.

Speaking to Aysor.am, Ani Samsonyan said that the human rights sector is very important for her.

“Many claim that there is no need to protect human rights after the revolution as a force came to power which will not violate this right. I do not share this opinion,” she said.

The chairperson of the committee is Prosperous Armenia faction MP Naira Zohrabyan.

The Bright Armenia MP said the political disputes between Bright Armenia and PAP will not be an impediment for her to work under the supervision of Naira Zohrabyan.

“We are a political force which has concerns and may have political conflicts with other forces but it has never stopped us from cooperation with other forces,” Samsonyan said.
