Armenian delegation, George Soros do not meet in Davos, reach no arrangement over visit to Armenia
Meeting of Armenian delegation in Davos and well-known philanthropist George Soros, founder of Open Society Foundations, was not scheduled and did not take place, acting deputy head of government’s press service Armen Khachatryan told Aysor.am.
“Such meeting was neither planned nor did it take place. There is no arrangement about the visit of George Soros to Armenia either,” he stressed.
The delegation headed by Nikol Pashinyan was participating in World Economic Forum in Davos from January 22-25.
Earlier Soros referred to Armenia, highlighting the assistance to Armenia’s civil society. In his Twitter microblog he wrote: “Strong support of Armenia's civil society is vital to the country's democratic present and future."

Ukrainian pro-western OPORA movement leaders stated that they have met with Soros in Davos on January 25. OPORA is one of the leading engines of 2004-2005 “orange” revolution. Georgian former authorities headed by ex PM Irakli Gharibashvili are also periodically meeting with Soros. According to some information, after the change of power in Georgia, Soros met with representatives of Georgian opposition.
