Hraparak: CSTO secretary general issue not closed
Citing its source, Hraparak paper writes that the issue of the CSTO secretary general is not solved with the issue to be on the agenda of the CSTO in 2-3 months.
To the question of the paper that the CSTO member states have already stated about supporting candidate of Belarus, the source said, “It was just a PR action by Lukashenko, it was his dream-pressure on Putin to show what impact Nazarbayev-Lukashenko tandem has. Do not forget that Lukashenko has said that the issue of Zas’ appointment would be settled by December but the December has passed and the issue was not solved. The document was signed only by Tajikistan and Belarus, the discussion of the issue will continue until official appointment.”
The source also said that there are phases to pass and no one may avoid them. Neither of the parties want to concede. According to it, this year parliamentary and presidential elections will be held in Belarus that is why Lukashenko calmed down.
