Artsakh ex-PM to participate in presidential elections in Karabakh with party’s decision
Consultant to Artsakh president, chairman of Free Homeland party Arayik Harutyunyan will participate in the 2020 presidential elections in Artsakh only with the decision of the party, he said speaking to Aysor.am.
“The decision will be made at the congress of the party which will probably take place in August or September. After it the Free Homeland will officially state about its candidate,” the Artsakh official said.
As to whether he is ready to assume such responsible mission if the party nominates him as a candidate, Harutyunyan said it will be the position of the party.
“I am not heading it alone. The party has more than 5 thousand members and their decision will be obliging. I am ready to implement the decision of the party,” Harutyunyan said.
Former commander of Artsakh Defense Army Samvel Babayan voiced readiness to participate in presidential elections in Artsakh in 2020.
