Government’s program worked out to avoid responsibility and not be accountable to people: ARF-D statement
Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun has released a statement expressing its position over government’s program.
“Contrary to the approaches and commitments voiced by the ruling force the government’s program does not reflect the reforms in the political system, direct democracy, freedom of press and speech, electoral system, elimination of super prime ministerial system,” the statement reads.
“On one hand the reforms have been ignored, on the other an attempt is being made to replace the government with the Prime Minister - centralizing the authorities of collegial management body, which may endanger the country’s democratic development prospect,” the statement says.
According to the ARF-D the program has not properly referred to the national security issue, including to the mechanisms guaranteeing Artsakh’s military-political security.
“There are a number of shortcomings in country’s cultural, educational, scientific development and Diaspora affairs sectors,” the statement reads.
It also says that the program has been worked out in a way to avoid responsibility and not be accountable before the people. The ARF-D also says that the program lacks concrete targets, goals, terms but instead is full of declarative statements and various contradicting ideas.
“The ARF-D Armenian Supreme Body registers that the government’s program does not ensure enough prerequisites for the implementation of Develop without Conceding vital principal and evaluates it as not equivalent to the current challenges,” the statement says.
