Azerbaijan lost Artsakh long ago, Armenia has settled the issue: political analyst
The meetings between the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan during the past months may be described as working-familiarizing, during which Azerbaijan has been trying to understand the moods of the new authorities of Armenia, political analyst Levon Shirinyan told Aysor.am, referring to the expected Pashinyan-Aliyev meeting.
“Radical changes have been registered from our side and Azerbaijan is trying to understand whether the former obligatory approaches exist or not,” he said, adding that Azerbaijan is losing the peace process.
“Currently the adversary is not speaking pompously but seems to seek ways for return to previous situation and in Armenia it seems to have supporters - the fifth colon,” the political analyst said.
Asked whether the Armenian or Azerbaijani sides are in beneficial positions in talks, Shirinyan said Armenia and the international right.
“If we succeed and work hard with Artsakh, our cooperation will be much more effective,” the political analyst said, adding that current Armenian authorities must do everything to serve interests of Armenia and its people.
Shirinyan reminded that Azerbaijan failed still at April war not being able to solve the issue it has put before it.
“The power has radically changed in Armenia, a new generation has come and understanding it very well Azerbaijan is just speaking. Azerbaijan has lost Artsakh long ago, we have resolved the issue. They say they will not give independence to Artsakh. But who is Azerbaijan to give or not to give independence to Artsakh?” the political analyst said.
