8-10,5 billion AMD debt gathered in water system: Armenia’s PM
There is 8-10,5 billion AMD debt in the water system, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated at the cabinet sitting today.
“The issue is that we have such mechanisms when water was supplied, debt was formed. Our issue is to understand how this debt was formed. Have the farmers failed to pay, or they have paid but the companies have not registered the payment?” he asked.
The PM said adding that all the rural economies of Armenia must know that there is 10,5 billion AMD debt.
“There is very little possibility that the villagers did not pay, we have a hypothesis that serious corruption schemes worked,” the PM said.
Head of the State Oversight Service Davit Sanasaryan said that they will submit their studies over the issue on March 15.
Pashinyan said it is necessary to seriously deal with the issue.
