NA to discuss constitutional reforms at proper time: vice speaker

Constitutional changes are on our agenda, but we have not discussed the change regarding the change of state model of governance, vice speaker of the parliament Lena Nazaryan said at a briefing today, referring to the proposal of the Armenian National Congress on conduction of constitutional referendum and return to semi-presidential governance system.

“We will discuss the proposal at the proper time,” she said, not wishing to clarify her position over it, and adding that it is important decision and she would not like to express her personal opinion, as there was no team discussion.

To the comment that ANC supported Nikol Pashinyan during the revolution days and what changed now, why ANC proposed it, Nazaryan said they just have their political agenda and there is no any other pre-context in it.

She said she cannot tell anything about constitutional changes but the changes in the Electoral Code will be under the focus of the National Assembly.
