Over 19 billion AMD restored during 8 month-long fight against corruption
Aysor.am sent an inquiry to the government on January 9 to find out how much money has been restored to the state budget since May 8, 2018 election of Nikol Pashinyan as country’s PM and the statements about fighting against corruption and shadow economy.
The response includes the information provided by the Prosecutor General’s office’s corruption and economic crimes department. It includes the results of the activities of the National Security Service and State Revenue Committee.
According to it, since May 8, 2018 till December 31, 19 billion 630 million 849,778 AMD has been restored as a result of activities addressed against corruption, illegal economic activity, as well as a result of investigation in the framework of criminal cases.
The restored sums were transferred to the deposit account of the Prosecutor’s office, investigative bodies. The response though did not say how much sum has been entered to the state budget.
“It is impossible to say it, as the sums are entered into the state budget according to the type of income. The state bodies are responsible for it,” the response says.
