Director of company founded by Sedrak Kocharyan pleads guilty to charges brought against him: Armenia’s NSS
Armenian National Security Service has published today details about the criminal case against Sedrak Kocharyan, son of Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan. Sedrak Kocharyan was the first to speak about it in the statement released yesterday.
In a released response statement, the National Security Service states that the son of the second president has direct relation to the organization of financial criminal activity: evasion of big amount of taxes and legalizing income received in criminal way.
According to the gathered facts, Sedrak Kocharyan organized the process of registering false information about the employees of the company he founded, evasion of taxes and downgraded the amount of real income. To hide the criminal source of the funds, he legalized them by different bank transfers and purchase of property.
The NSS reports that the gathered facts and proofs were enough to bring charges against Sedrak Kocharyan. The latter has been charged with organization of big amount of tax evasion and legalization of big amount of income received in a criminal way. The director of the company founded by him Alexan Voskanyan has been charged with big amount of tax evasion. Voskanyan pleaded guilty to the charges brought against him.
The signature bond has been applied to both as preventive measure.
The NSS reports that wide-scale activities are carried out to clarify the legality of numerous real estate property and other actives of Sedrak Kocharyan and his family.
