Nothing should be expected from OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs’ visit: political analyst
Obviously, there is no negotiation process now, and nothing should be expected from the visit of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, political analyst Hrant Melik-Shahnazaryan told Aysor.am, referring to the visit of the co-chairs to Armenia.
The co-chairs will depart from Yerevan to Baku and already in March the visit of the OSCE chairperson-in-office is scheduled.
“There is no readiness for negotiations especially from the Azerbaijani side. It is clearly seen. The fact that the meeting between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan did not take place in Munich shows that the Karabakh conflict settlement process has stopped,” he said, stressing that more probably the co-chairs see some danger in it and want to understand what developments may follow.
“Naturally their meeting will not give anything. Such visits are regular and this time they are also trying create some basis for the meeting of the foreign ministers and then leaders of the two countries,” the political analyst said.
