Government to allocate $396 thousand to Investigative Committee in the sidelines of Amulsar mine case
The government discussed at the cabinet sitting today the bill on allocating funds to the Investigative Committee.
Briefing on the bill, minister of finance Atom Janjughazyan said that it is offered to allocate 396 thousand USD from the government’s reserve fund to the Investigative Committee.
“The money will be transferred to the Investigative Committee for applying to expertise services in the sidelines of the criminal case on the evaluation of impact of exploitation of Amulsar mine,” the minister said.
He said various and numerous expertise has been appointed in the sidelines of the case.
Addressing the chairman of the committee Hayk Grigoryan, the Prime Minister said they were planning to have the answers to all the questions by spring.
In response, Grigoryan said that such process usually takes 6-8 months.
“We have speeded-up the processes as much as it was possible. The final expertise results will be presented in 12-16 weeks but once in every two weeks a report will be presented,” he said, adding that the initial results will be available in May.
