Armenia has no right to live with ‘get along’ logic: Armenia’s PM
Development of military-industrial complex is a priority for the Armenian government, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a consultation in the government today.
He said it is necessary to undertake structural changes, find opportunities for increasing the funding of the sector.
The PM said for the development of the military industry it is necessary to have a clearly working mechanism for scientific potential, private investments and state governance system.
“In this pre-context we view the opportunity of creation of high technology and industrial ministry in Armenia, which is an important but not satisfactory condition to register serious changes in the sector,” the PM said, attaching special significance to the cooperation with scientific potential.
“The geopolitical, military political environment in our region does not allow us to live with ‘get along’ logic as with such approach we just consume the resources we have, while we should think about developing them. Yes, we must find not popular, voluntary solutions to get convinced that there is no inactive circle in our state system,” the PM said.
