No one to try to hide any case of death in army: Defense Committee chairman
Chairman of the NA’s Defense and Security Affairs Standing Committee Andranik Kocharyan promised to keep under limelight the examination of the cases of crime in the army and be consistent in their fair resolution.
Speaking at the “Human Rights Violations in the Army and Mechanisms for their Prevention” discussion he said that the parliament, and the committee headed by him in particular will act openly with “fair circles” of the civil society.
“The fair circles of the civil society who are not only thinking about writing beautiful programs and getting grants will be very important for us. We will be open. I declare that our committee will be open at all platforms, view us as your partners. If our interference is necessary in case, we will organize hearings, and not only hearings. The death of any soldier will be a great problem for the state. There will be no case of attempt to hide the death of a soldier,” he said, adding that hiding such case is a more terrible crime.
He also stressed that for efficient activity in the Armed Forces the relations inside, soldeir-officer relations must be firm, not vulnerable.
“Before the ceasefire there was a brotherly atmosphere in the armed forces, which erected our victory. Let’s not ignore it all, those who will are the enemies of our army,” Kocharyan said.
