If we have friend like Russia, we do not need any other enemy: political analyst
The way Armenian National Assembly chairman described the participation of Russian colleagues in anti-Armenian rally in Baku is a very mild diplomatic formulation, political analyst Ruben Mehrabyan said, speaking to Aysor.am.
“I will say it is a cynicism, impudence. There is nothing surprising, everything is natural, Russia can have no other attitude toward the only and the last totalitarian country in the region, which is the only dear for Putin’s regime,” the analyst said.
Mehrabyan stressed that the Armenian side must make corresponding conclusions to understand who is who.
“There is no need to seriously treat the applauses and empty talks about brotherhood. We must understand one thing, if we have a friend like Russia, we do not need any other enemy,” the political analyst stressed.
Today in Moscow at the session of the Federal Council, chairman of the Armenian parliament Ararat Mirzoyan said that despite high-level cooperation between Armenia and Russia and partnership relations between our countries and Russia’s successive attempts addressed to the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, some our Russian colleagues participated yesterday at an anti-Armenia action in Baku aimed against regional peace and stability.
“Moreover, the participation of the members of the Armenian-Russian inter-parliamentary commission raises fair surprise,” the NA chairman said at the session of the Federal Council.
