Government rejects Bright Armenia faction’s proposal on parliamentary control of diplomatic appointments
The Armenian government rejected the legislative initiative of the Bright Armenia faction on establishing parliamentary control over the appointment of diplomats.
The bill was briefed by the deputy foreign minister Grigor Hovhannisyan who said they have rejected the bill for few reasons.
Bright Armenia faction proposed making changes in the NA Regulation Law, according to which after the nomination of candidates, before the appointment the Foreign Relations Standing Committee meet with them.
