Development of partnership with Moscow both in bilateral and EAEU formats promotes progress of part of Tehran-Yerevan agenda: expert
Armenian Prime Minister and President of Iran made particular reference to the Iran-EAEU Agreement during their meeting in Tehran which will open serious opportunities for Armenia, expert Vardan Voskanyan said, speaking to Aysor.am.
He stressed that it is particularly remarkable if to consider that Armenia is the only country having land border with Iran.
“This circumstance is being stressed both by Armenia and which is very important by Iran too. The Iranians realize quite well that the EAEU headquarter is Russia and that Armenian-Russian strategic relations raise the weight of our country and create additional opportunities for us to come up on behalf of the EAEU,” he said.
Voskanyan stressed that the development of partnership with Moscow both in bilateral and EAEU formats promotes the progress of part of the Tehran-Yerevan agenda.
“Of course, the ideal option would have been creation of Moscow-Yerevan-Tehran trilateral parallel cooperation format which would have been a serious step toward raise of Armenia’s role in the region,” he said.
