Armenia committed to Vienna and St. Petersburg arrangements: deputy FM
Armenia’s government has not refused the Vienna and St. Petersburg arrangements over Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement, Armenia’s deputy foreign minister Shavarsh Kocharyan told the reporters after cabinet sitting today.
“No such thing has ever been stated. Steps were undertaken in that direction. Today, we have essential changes on the borderline. We have not refused any arrangements,” Kocharyan said.
As to the comment that the arrangements are not being implemented, Kocharyan said that it is obvious for all that the arrangements are not being implemented because of Azerbaijani side.
As to why in such case Armenia agrees to meet with the leadership of Azerbaijan which is not committed to arrangements, Kocharyan said, “It is clear why- because each meeting is more preferable than resumption of military actions and till now all the meetings have been aimed at reducing the risks of resumption of military actions.”
