Protest actions against changes in bill on state fee envisaging 6 million AMD fee for pawnshops against current 100,000 AMD
A number of producers of carbonated drinks, employees of exchange points and pawnshops gathered in front of government building protesting against bill on changes in the law about State Fee.
Speaking to reporters, participant of the protest Almik company representative Gegham Khachatryan said they are protesting against groundless raise of state fee.
“We hope this bill will not be approved as it really endangers our companies. In case of adoption our company will definitely close as we do not have as much income. We cannot pay 6 million state fee and implement our tax commitments. We will conduct protest actions and express our complaint. If they are going to raise them, let them do it in sensible limits,” he said.
“Let them double it, for instance if the sum of the pawnshop’s state property is 100,000 AMD, let them double it, but now make it 6 million,” he said.
“We want to find out what studies or what monitoring resulted in setting this sum. They should conduct a public discussion. Our four employees will become unemployed if bill is approved,” he said.
According to the changes, the bill envisages 6 million AMD instead of 100,000 AMD for pawnshops, 3 million AMD instead of 50,000 for exchange points.
