Armenia’s attempts to change Karabakh conflict negotiation format unacceptable for Baku: Aliyev
The strive of the Armenian side to change the format of negotiations over Karabakh conflict settlement is inadmissible for Baku and is viewed as an attempt to block the talks, president of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stated.
“Armenia’s government is trying to change the format of negotiations. It is unacceptable and is viewed as an attempt to block the negotiation process,” Aliyev said.
He reminded that the EU high-ranking officials and the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs are against change of negotiation format.
“The negotiations must be effective. They must result in liberation of Azerbaijani territories,” Aliyev stated.
He stressed that status quo is unacceptable for Baku and the regulation of the conflict is possible only on the basis of territorial integrity.
