Meat trade on streets not a way to solve social issues: Armenia’s PM
The whole system of public trade sector has completely changed in Armenia, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated at the event dedicated to the International Day of Protection of Consumers’ Interests.
“We have started from placed tables, the new trade phenomena of the first years of independence,” Pashinyan said.
He stressed that there was time when the huge trade volume in Armenia was focused on streets.
“It was the result of the shocks our country underwent,” the PM said.
Pashinyan stressed that time has come to display completely new approach to this situation.
“The protection of rights of consumers is an absolute priority for us and we should not view these trade processes with the social issues,” Pashinyan said.
The Prime Minister noted that if to tolerate meat trade on streets with the logic of solving social issue, it means to tolerate that Armenia must remain country of low standards.
