Each issue may be solved via cooperation: PM to residents of ramshackle building

Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Yerevan mayor Hayk Marutyan were participating today in the opening of multi-apartment building built by Grand Holding.

Residents of nearby ramshackle building applied to the PM and the mayor asking to view the conditions they are living in.

“I will ask you to look at the condition of this building. Please, help with anything,” one of the residents of the building said.

Mayor of Yerevan asked whether the residents pay the condominium fees.

“We pay as much as we can, but we do not know whether they are being spent on purpose or not. Who allows us to follow how they are being spent?” one of the residents said.

“I allow, follow,” the PM said.

The residents asked to at least renovate the building’s external appearance for it to correspond to the colors of the newly built building.

Mayor Hayk Marutyan said all the buildings will be renovated.

The residents promised to help financially to renovate the building.

“If the residents are ready, it is a good idea. Municipality, the government will help too. Each issue may be settled via cooperation,” Pashinyan said.
