Armenia’s president offered to arrive in Stepanakert to participate in joint Security Council session via helicopter with DM: Pashinyan
Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan perceives president Armen Sarkissian as President of Republic of Armenia who has authorities set by Constitution and legislation, the premier said at a press conference today, referring to his relations with president Armen Sarkissian.
“We had discussions over these topics few times and registered very clearly how the situation is today and what constitutional regulations we have,” Pashinyan said.
As to absence of Armenia’s president at the session of the Security Councils in Stepanakert, the premier said that he personally called and tried to invite Armen Sarkissian but failed to contact him.
“I have left for Stepanakert a day before the session. During that whole day we had discussions in different formats as we needed to carry out clear actions. And what we were to do was decided only the day before,” the premier explained, adding that with unknown reasons he failed to contact with the president and assigned Security Council secretary to contact with the president and invite him to the session.
The PM also said they offered the president to arrive in Stepanakert via helicopter together with the defense minister.
