Provisions relating to Artsakh issue in Azerbaijani-EU agreement must correspond to ones fixed in Armenia-EU agreement: Armen Ashotyan
It is important for Armenia for the provisions relating to the Artsakh issue fixed in the Comprehensive cooperation agreement between the EU and Azerbaijan correspond to the provisions fixed in the EU-Armenia agreement, ex-chairman of the NA’s foreign relations standing committee Armen Ashotyan said today at the Armenia on the Way to Europe: 10 Years of Activity of Konrad Adenauer in Armenia discussion.
“It is known that the EU and Azerbaijan are finalizing the pre-signing protocols of Comprehensive agreement. Of course we cannot and there is no need to prevent the signing of the agreement, but it is important for us that the provisions found there about Artsakh issue correspond to the ones fixed in Armenia-Eu agreement, as the EU cannot have two contradicting agreements. It was an issue put before the EU and today’s authorities and must continue this policy,” Ashotyan said.
