Armenian government has no discriminatory attitude toward any entrepreneur: deputy PM
The Armenian government does not have any discriminatory attitude toward any entrepreneur, deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan told the reporters today, referring to the relations between Lydian Armenia and the government.
Referring to the statement of the company that if their activity is impeded they will apply to arbitration court, Avinyan said that in May certain answers to some questions will be given as currently hydro-geological researches are being carried out in Amulsar which will give answers to the questions.
Avinyan said that if the research shows that all the risks are controllable no obstacles will be created for the implementation of the program.
“If we see that there are certain uncontrollable risks, we will make corresponding decision,” he said, adding that if the conclusion is in favor of Lydian Armenia, the company will have no need to apply to arbitration court.
He also said that the statement of the company about applying to arbitration court is not perceived as a threat. Asked whether the harm to Armenia has been calculated in case the company applies and wins the case, Avinyan said, “We are well aware of all the risks and have nothing to be afraid of.”
