Armenia’s parliament ratifies temporary agreement between EAEU-Iran on creation of free trade zone
Armenian National Assembly continues its works today. The session launched with the discussion of bill on ratification of temporary agreement between the EAEU member states and Iran on formation of free trade zone.
The bill was backed by 118 lawmakers. Two lawmakers abstained from voting, one voted against the bill.
Addressing the parliament, PAP faction MP Michael Melkumyan stated that the volume of export from Armenia to Iran thrice concedes the volume of products imported from that country.
“We have 363 million USD trade turnover where the volume of our export totals just 94 million USD. The agreement on creation free trade zone will essentially contribute to the enhancement of our export,” he said.
