Humanitarian mission in Syria raises Armenia’s sovereignty and subjectivity: PM
The deployment of Armenian humanitarian mission in Syria was a right step, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at the NA today.
“We departed for Syria with the sovereignty and historic mission considerations. If today our doctor goes there, gives a cup of water to a person whose grandfather survived 1915 genocide, I think with it we return the good to the Syrian people,” he said adding that today Armenian specialists demine 140 sq.m. territory for the grandchildren of the people who gave shelter to our compatriots.
“I think we are carrying out historic mission in Syria,” Pashinyan said, adding that the mission though has its risks.
The head of the government stressed that this mission raises Armenia’s sovereignty and subjectivity.
“I am convinced that this is a right mission,” Pashinyan stressed.
