No extraordinary results expected from Pashinyan-Aliyev meeting: Ruben Rubinyan
No extraordinary results should have been expected from the meeting between leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan, chairman of the NA’s Foreign Relations Standing Committee Ruben Rubinyan told the reporters, referring to Pashinyan-Aliyev meeting.
“It was important as it was the first official meeting between the two leaders under the auspices of OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs,” Rubinyan said, adding that they had an opportunity to voice each other’s approaches.
He also said that this is a start and another meetings will follow.
As to whether new document will be worked out over conflict settlement, Rubinyan said no talks are currently being held over new document.
“As of now, no new document is being worked out, which is logical as there is no clear content discussion with the parties speaking only about each other’s perceptions,” he said.
