Davit Babayan offers Azerbaijani president two ways for visiting Artsakh
Azerbaijani president's statement that the war is not over, but only its first phase, once again shows who we are dealing with, spokesperson of the Artsakh president Davit Babayan told Aysor.am.
Babayan said that on behalf of Azerbaijan we are dealing with a country which has not given up the policy of Armenophobia, hatred and the wish to settle the issue in a military way.
“It is up to them. Naturally, we were not expecting anything else. We take note of the statements, we treat them seriously but we want to remind Aliyev one thing: we understand that he wants to come to Stepanakert and Shushi, and there are two ways to do that. The first one is diplomatic one, the shortest, without bloodshed, the civil one. It means Azerbaijan recognizes Artsakh Republic, we open Azerbaijani embassy here, a consulate and all necessary diplomatic missions. The second way is for them to pass through Stepanakert streets as captives in our triumphant march. These are the two ways, the choice is theirs,” Babayan said.
Earlier today Aliyev stated that Azerbaijani position in Karabakh conflict settlement has remained unchanged.
“We are living in war condition, the war has not ended yet, only the first phase is over,” Aliyev stated.
