No positive expectations from Pashinyan-Aliyev meeting: Vahram Baghdasaryan
After 1992 we have never considered that the war is over, member of the Republican party Vahram Baghdasaryan said in Yerablur Military Pantheon today, referring to the statement of Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev that the war is not over, but only the first phase.
He stressed that seeing the aggressive actions of the Azerbaijani side Armenia has no right to consider that the war is over.
“What happened three years ago, showed the world that the Armenian people are able to consolidate in any period of time when the issue relates to the security of our country. The April war was a lesson to the assassins that they cannot speak to us with that language,” the ex lawmaker said.
As to whether the third president is ready to consult with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan upon the latter’s request Baghdasaryan said, “Neither of us had a stance of an opponent when the issue related to Artsakh or Armenian-Turkish relations. We were all united. Artsakh issue is our issue, it must be solved together. No step has been undertaken without listening to the people and authorities of Artsakh.”
As to how the former MP assesses Pashinyan-Aliyev meeting, Baghdasaryan said he cannot have any positive expectation.
“There is no common field to find any commonalities,” he said.
