Armenia's Economic Development Minister, U.S. Ambassador discuss opportunities for ensuring brighter future for Armenian people

Armenia’s Economic and Development Minister Tigran Khachatryan received today U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Lynne Tracy.

The Ambassador thanked for the reception and the chance to discuss the opportunities of development of economic relations between the two counties and of ensuring better living conditions and brighter future for the people of Armenia.

The Armenian minister noted that the USA has always assisted Armenia in having more competitive economy by the implementation of reforms.

The minister briefed the ambassador on the economic priorities of the government and stressed that the executive power has focused on the quality of economic growth which will soon have its influence on a big number of people.

Khachatryan also referred to the issue of low productivity of enterprises and discussed the issues of their technical upgrading.

The interlocutors also discussed issues on improvement of quality of education, protection of right of property and importance of cutting the acting administration.

They also exchanged views over attracting new investments, developing foreign trade relations and improving the business environment.
