Constitutional Court chairman assures no political pressures exerted on the court
No political pressure is being exerted on the Constitutional Court as of the moment, CC chairman Hrayr Tovmasyan told the reporters today.
“I convince you that today, as of now, no political pressure is being exerted on the Constitutional Court. I may convince you with 100% there is no such thing,” Tovmasyan said, asked whether the ex head of president’s staff exerted pressure on ex judge of the court Valery Poghosyan and what in general is being done to avoid such cases.
Tovmasyan said that being free of political pressures is the number one precondition for activity of the Constitutional Court.
“I mean zero constraint from any phenomena, from any person,” Tovmasyan said.
