Spayka company director describes developments as SRC’s persecution
Spayka company CEO Davit Ghazaryan has been surprised with the State Revenue Committee’s revelations of tax evasions amounting to 7 billion AMD.
“I was shocked and surprised yesterday,” Ghazaryan told the reporters today.
He said last year audit was implemented in the company, some specifications were made over 2 billion which were paid back by December.
Ghazaryan said in 2018 the company paid over 3 billion AMD taxes.
“As owner of the company I made compromises but the company was going bankrupt. The SRC closed the case. They have copied the servers, they took a car of documents. We were in permanent communication with the investigator, we acted openly and were always available,” the CEO said.
He said yesterday the investigator told him to either sign a huge volume or be arrested. The CEO said it is clear persecution by the SRC against the company.
“I am not a politician, I do not belong to any party and I do not want to. Now they are speaking of seven billion. These are false figures. They have exaggerated the number to please the people. We should ask Ananyan what number this 7 billion is, the 5,5 billion of it is the VAT,” Ghazaryan said.
He said the Eurasian Development Bank was to provide them 100 million USD loan while after the yesterday’s developments they phoned and informed about suspension of the deal.
Ghazaryan said he convened a gathering with the staff, saying that the company must work normally even in case of his arrest.
“The works will continue but no purchase of agricultural products will be done,” Ghazaryan said.
