If Spayka boycotts, new companies to appear in the market: Pashinyan on developments over company
Armenian law enforcers and tax bodies were calling to Nikol Pashinyan after he has been elected Armenia’s PM voicing about serious issues with Spayka company, Pashinyan told the reporters today.
“I have told everyone, ok, investigate in accordance to the law, but do it in a way not to impede their working process,” the head of the government said.
He said his instruction pleased some ears and they started displaying disrespectful attitude toward investigators.
“They started speaking with investigators mockingly, with ignorance, so they say does it mean we cannot investigate the case properly?!” the premier said, adding that he cannot interfere into the process.
“I have mediated to conduct the investigation in a way not to impede the working process of the company. But it does not mean that some people must enter the rooms where the investigators are working, mock the investigator and go home,” the premier stated.
He said if Spayka wants to boycott, other companies will come forth and the market will be regulated.
“We will see soon whether they will stop or not. They will work normally as they will not want to lose millions dollars just for boycotting,” the head of the government said.
He stressed that they are being frequently asked, why they do not raise the salaries of teachers.
“We do not do it, because some do not pay taxes. We say you should pay taxes, and response is should I close my restaurant? In such case let no one ask me why the pensions are low, why the salaries are not being raised, it is just because the investors do not want pay taxes, threaten with closing jobs. I do not understand have they taken the people as hostages? No one has right to pass near them because they have the mandate to decide the fate of the people? No they do not have it, let them sit calmly in their places,” Pashinyan said.
