U.S. step to blacklist Iran’s Guards Corps receives response step: Suren Sargsyan

The relations between the United States and Iran are extremely tensed, expert in international affairs, political analyst Suren Sargsyan told Aysor.am, referring to Iran’s intention to recognize the USA armed forces as terrorist organization. The expert said that in such condition everything should be expected.

“We must take into consideration that just two days ago leading American mass media – The Wall Street Journal published an article saying that the USA is planning to blacklist Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps. Of course this step was to get a response from the Iranian side, which it got,” the expert said, adding that the two states are undertaking similar actions against one
another.

Sargsyan said U.S. president Donald Trump and his administration have tough and aggressive position against Iran, but he sees he does not see possibility of massive actions.

“First it is necessary to consider that elections in the USA will take place just in one and half year. The campaign in the United States starts earlier than in any other countries due to the USA being a big state,” he said, adding that many things will depend on the upcoming elections.
