Government to do everything for Spayka to continue operating: SCR chairman

Armenian government to do everything possible for Spayka to continue operating, chairman of the State Revenue Committee Davit Ananyan told the reporters after cabinet sitting today.

Asked whether a Best Fruit company claims to replace Spayka in the market, Ananyan said, “I hear about Best Fruit company for the first time. We are undertaking actions to give criminal-legal assessment to the actions of the leadership of Spayka company. If to view the economic side of the issue, as a government, we will do everything for the company to continue its activity,” Ananyan said.

“We are facing a dilemma. We do not want the company to stop its activity, but we cannot accept quitting the process of giving criminal-legal assessment to the actions of leadership of the company as precondition for not stopping the operation. We are not ready for such a compromise,” Ananyan stated.
