Armenian citizens leaving for Argentina may work there too
Armenian National Assembly’s Foreign Relations Standing Committee has given positive assessment to the agreement between the governments of Armenia and Argentina about holiday and work there. The agreement will be finally approved on April 16 at the extraordinary sitting of the Armenian parliament.
Deputy foreign minister Grigor Hovhannisian briefing on the agreement said that still in 2011 Armenia and Argentina signed agreement on free visa regime after which the citizens of the two countries have been free to visit Armenia and Argentina without visas. But those visiting Argentina without visas are not allowed to work there.
To give the citizens of Armenia such opportunity the government submitted the agreement for the parliament’s approval.
“This tool will give an opportunity to particularly young specialists to work in Argentina while visiting that country till three month period on the legal basis,” the deputy minister said, adding that these are particularly students who may both work and study there.
