Officials involved in corruption schemes not sure in being unpunished anymore: Attorney General
The reports about corruption cases have increased during 2018 by 3.6 times as compared with the 2017, Attorney General Artur Davtyan told the reporters today.
“We may register that our people have become more intolerant toward corruption. Each person having temptation to get involved in corruption schemes cannot be sure anymore that the law enforcers will not be informed about it and which is the most important these people will have no guarantee and conviction irrespective of their position that they will not be punished for their deeds,” the Attorney General said.
He said the clear signals of intolerance toward corruption in state governance are rather inspiring.
“They help to form public opinion and conviction that the state, all the law enforcement bodies are fair and resolute in this fight,” Davtyan said.
