Armenian, Azerbaijani FMs discuss 2016 proposals of the Russian side
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov confirmed today that at the meeting of the foreign ministers in Moscow on April 16 the parties discussed the proposals of the Russian side made in 2016.
“In one of his interviews Azerbaijani foreign minister noted that proposals of 2016 have been discussed. I have nothing to add,” Sergey Lavrov said, at the joint news conference with his Serbian counterpart.
He said the details of the proposals are secret.
In March of the running year Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, while speaking about Nagorno Karabakh conflict said, “Indeed, we want to give a new content to the peace process and we have presented our proposals to the Azerbaijani side through mediators.”
The Armenian government though refuses to unveil the details of proposals made to Azerbaijan.
Aysor.am has requested specifications from the government but in the written response the government press service said “the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement process is confidential, consequently we abstain from unveiling any details about it.”
