State Control Service head excludes political persecution against him
Head of the State Control Service Davit Sanasaryan said it is impossible to discredit him. Speaking to reporters today, Sanasaryan said he cannot unveil information referring to the criminal case where he is engaged as a suspect, adding though that it does not mean that he will stay silent in case of any attempts to discredit him.
He said he does not agree with the case and will naturally dispute it in a legal way.
Sanasaryan also urged to address questions about his status in the case to the NSS.
“I have been interrogated, I have told what I know. One thing is clear, no person and no structure may tie any corruption case with me as he principally rejects any corruption phenomena, and I address those who mock, even in grave, my name will fight against corruption,” Sanasaryan said.
As to who will want to bother him and what this process is aimed at, the SCS head said, “I cannot say who I bother, but I understand one thing from circulating talks. An attempt is being made to create such a situation for me to be guided emotionally and speak against the premier. Such thing will not happen. There cannot be a case for the country’s PM to order political persecution against me, I exclude it,” Sanasaryan said, adding that the SCS has such functions that may “trample feet” of many in the limits of law. “Thus, many will not want a principle, clean person be in the post,” he said.
