Armenian-Russian relations firm, addressed to future: Russian ambassador
Today’s sunny weather is a good sign which testifies that bright, clear, favorable future expects Armenian-Russian relations which are based on close brotherly relations, Russian ambassador Segey Kopirkin said at the opening of Alley for Friendship between Armenia and Russia.
“I want this Alley to become one of the dearest places for residents of Yerevan and guests of the capital,” he said, wishing Armenian and Russian peoples happiness and prosperity.

Tomorrow marks the Day of Armenian Genocide and soon we will mark the Day of Victory. I think today’s event is of uniting nature symbolizing our friendship, brotherhood, our striving to peace and happiness,” Kopirkin said.
Asked to assess Armenian-Russian relations after the change of power in Armenia, the ambassador stressed that Russia’s leadership gives define assessments to the relations between the two countries.
“Our relations are firm and are addressed to future. I am convinced that our peoples and leaderships fully realize that the brotherly relations between our countries correspond to the radical interests of our two peoples. Very soon the visit of Russian premier to Armenia is expected. It is scheduled for the next week. As to meetings between Armenian prime minister and Russian president, they are of periodical nature,” the ambassador said.
