My Step faction to set few investigative commissions, to initiate bills
Armenian National Assembly’s My Step faction has decided at its session today to set up investigative commissions as well as discuss few legislative initiatives, head of the faction Lilit Makunts told the reporters today.
“We saw the necessity of creation of investigative commissions in few directions – in particular regarding the mining industry, water resources and few other sectors,” Makunts said.
The reporter reminded that during the recent government-NA Q&A prime minister Nikol Pashinyan said that the parliament is not using its control function at its full. In response, Makunts said that the faction headed by her has intensively worked with the government and did not agree that the head of the government made a remark. She said before the premier’s statement they were planning to come up with such initiative.
“In reality I agree that the potential and the tools the National Assembly has must be used at its full volume. The control tools give us an opportunity to register success,” Makunts said.
