Alley for friendship between Armenia and Russia opens in NA’s court
The friendship and brotherhood between Armenian and Russian peoples have ancient-long history and is based on mutual sympathy, respect, Armenian National Assembly speaker Ararat Mirzoyan said today at the ceremony of opening Alley for Friendship between Armenia and Russia.
Russian ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin said that he is very excited and happy to participate in the festive event of opening of the tree-alley for Armenian-Russian friendship.
Mirzoyan and Kopirkin planted birch together and watered it.
As to why they planted birch in particular, Russian ambassador said that usually this type of tree is associated with the Russian people, besides the trees are brought from Russian Fialetovo village.
As to whose idea was to establish the Alley for Friendship in the NA’s court, Russian ambassador said it was the idea of Armenian parliamentarians for which he is very thankful.
