Such cases may happen in any country: Sanasaryan on charges against him
Former chairman of the State Control Service Davit Sanasaryan refused to comment on the questions relating to the criminal charges brought against him.
“Today I am not going to answer the questions about the criminal case. Today our citizens are not interested in it,” Sanasaryan said.
He said he is sure the Republic of Armenia will become very strong and firm.
Asked whether a country may become strong and firm when cases are made up against people, as Sanasaryan’s attorneys claim, he said, “Such things may happen in any country.”
As to what he discussed with the Prime Minister on Friday, Sanasaryan said he would not answer the question.
As to the claims of his associates that NSS director Artur Vanetsyan must resign if Sanasaryan is acquitted, the former official said, “I think they are not my associates but the advocates of justice in Armenia.”
Asked whether he agrees with such statements, Sanasaryan said, “Today I came to demand justice.”
