Charges against SCS head Davit Sanasaryan grounded: NSS director
The charges against head of State Control Service Davit Sanasaryan [authorities suspended] are grounded, NSS director Artur Vanetsyan told the reporters today.
As to the claims that case against Sanasaryan is made up, Vanetsyan said that after the known events in 2018 such thing has not been registered in Armenia.
“We all built a legal state and the National Security Service has a core role here. The charges brought against Davit Sanasaryan are fully grounded based on testimonies of different people and confrontations. Without violating the presumption of innocence of Davit Sanasaryan I urge everyone to wait until the case is sent to court for everyone to get familiarized with the proofs acquired during the preliminary investigation,” Vanetsyan said.
“I will urge not to speculate this case, it has really got a wide resonance. I want to say that as NSS director I have to carry out my authorities irrespective of who the charged person is – be it my relative, friend. If someone violates law, he must bear responsibility for it,” Vanetsyan said.
