Armenia’s best response to Azerbaijan will be hyperactive policy in different sectors: expert
Russia-Iran-Azerbaijan format summit acts for already few years aimed at developing trilateral cooperation, especially in transport and energy sectors.
The achievements in this format are not so obvious for any of the parties, expert in Iranian affairs Vardan Voskanyan told Aysor.am, referring to the issue what to expect from this summer’s summit.
“Nevertheless, if this format is not working effectively today, it may work tomorrow, so our zero attention toward this format will be at least a miss. We must attentively follow the processes, considering Azerbaijan’s participation in it. On the other hand, our friend Iran and strategic ally Russia are participating in it, so this format cannot be uninteresting for us,” Voskanyan said.
The expert stressed that the development of Armenia-Iran and Armenia-Russia relations cannot be tied with the mentioned trilateral format.
“It is obvious that via such formats Azerbaijan is trying not to solve economic issues only but to exert huge propaganda pressure on Armenia. The best response from Armenia will be a hyperactive policy in different sectors. We must manage to ensure noticeable presence in Russia and Iran not only in lobby domain but in different economic branches,” Voskanyan said.
He stressed that any trilateral or four-sided format meetings organized by Azerbaijan must be of big interest for Armenia.
Earlier president of Russia Vladimir Putin at the meeting with Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev stated that the summit of Iran, Azerbaijan and Russia will take place in Russia in August.
