Women may be more effective, responsible and balanced in entrepreneurship: Armenia’s PM
The majority of population in Armenia are women, they also make the half of the country’s economically active population, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said today at the International Conference of Women Entrepreneurship.
“During the past one year the role of women in Armenia and their activeness have noticeably raised. Last year’s non-violent revolution would not have become a reality without mass participation of women in it. The women’s role was really a turning point and I hope their role will be as much significant in the economic revolution as well,” the head of the government said.
He said Armenia needs woman’s care and their presence in different sectors must be actively promoted.
“The activeness of women in the development of economy, state governance system and other sectors must not contradict our traditional family values. Women may be more effective, balanced in entrepreneurship. I am convinced that the sense of responsibility of Armenian women is more than those of men and statistically women are less involved in corruption,” the premier said, urging women to be active in carrying out economic revolution in Armenia.
