New opposition to born: Political technologist on political situation in Armenia

One of the biggest issues of these authorities is that many of them do not manage to turn into politicians from the civil activists, political technologist Karen Kocharyan told the reporters today.

“This brings forth serious problems and during the time, very soon, alternative forces will be created which will become serious opposition for today’s authorities,” Kocharyan said.

He said when something happens today, the authorities say it is done by counter-revolutionary republicans, Robert Kocharyan.

“Forget about them. The Republicans and Robert Kocharyan will not be able to come back for quite long. It does not mean that they are not working, they do work, but they will not have the same political weight as previously,” the political technologist said.

Kocharyan said that if the Republicans and Robert Kocharyan fail to have the same weight it does not mean that new forces will not come up.

“This is the issue. There is Bright Armenia, there may be other non-parliamentary forces, newly created forces. New opposition will born,” Kocharyan said.
