NA speaker to make statement on situation over Gagik Tsarukyan
My Step faction has discussed at its closed session today the application Civil Contract party has addressed to Attorney General Artur Davtyan.
“We have discussed the issue, but the faction has not formed a position toward the issue yet. Different opinions have been voiced,” head of the faction Lilit Makunts stated after the session.
Civil Contract party has applied also to the National Assembly chairman Ararat Mirzoyan with request to undertake necessary actions for the implementation of NA Regulation constitutional law’s article 157 which envisages applying to Constitutional Court for suspending lawmaker’s authorities.
The party also requested creation of ad hoc commission on parliamentary ethics which will investigate the issue.
Lilit Makunts said the NA chairman will come up with corresponding statement.
