Situation over ruling force, PAP leader an attempt to fill empty domestic political agenda: political technologist

The authorities-Prosperous Armenia dispute has raised a great resonance due to current emptiness in the domestic political life. If My Step is not speaking about Armenia’s development vector and does not present positive agenda, it tries to at least bring forth negative agenda to mobilize its associates, political technologist Armen Badalyan told Aysor.am, referring to the situation between the ruling force and head of the Prosperous Armenia faction Gagik Tsarukyan.

Yesterday NA speaker Ararat Mirzoyan addressed Tsarukyan urging him to present complete clarifications whether he is dealing with entrepreneurship or not.

“This issue is important, outlines sample of negative agenda. If to admit for a moment that the PAP head is really dealing with business directly and the situation demands depriving him of his parliamentary mandate, what will follow next? Will number of investments grow in Armenia? Will the social-economic situation of the country improve? It will not solve any issue. It will be referred to for a week or two and that’s it,” Badalyan said.
He stressed that even if Tsarukyan puts down his mandate, he will not leave politics as he will continue being the chairman of the Prosperous Armenia party.

“Another issue is that if Tsarukyan puts down his mandate, whose rating will grow? The prime minister’s who managed to reach it, or Tsarukyan’s? It is necessary to always know that the already existing rating of those persecuted by the authorities grows more,” the political technologist said.

As to the positions of the PAP, the expert said that they are quite firm.

“Only PAP is considered an alternative to My Step. Bright Armenia has failed to satisfy the expectations of the people and become real alternative. Consequently, PAP’s position as of now is higher than the one of the Bright Armenia. At the same time we should not forget that the PAP is the force with which the Russian side is intensively working and Yedinaya Rossia [United Russia] in particular. It appears that showing yellow card to the PAP may be perceived as showing yellow card to Russia which of course will be negatively accepted by the Russian side,” Armen Badalyan said.
